The Healey’s have been raising cattle part time in the Santa Ynez valley for over 20 years. Both of their families have deep roots working for the Vail and Vickers Co. on Santa Rosa Island. The Vail’s were masters at producing heavy grass fat cattle for feeder operations. The home grown beef used for employees and guests on the Island was incomparable to any other beef and it is from this model  that the Healey’s strive to produce their beef.
